Our Purpose

The aim of SSEAYP is to foster friendship and greater understanding among youths from Japan and ASEAN. It also seeks to broaden their international outlook.

A series of activities are lined up for the selected participants. The programme during voyages includes discussions on social and youth matters, cultural introductions, sports, recreation and club activities. While activities at each port-of-call include interaction with the local youth, courtesy calls on dignitaries and institutional visits, as well as community service and homestay experience.

About SSEAYP 2005

SSEAYP 2005 will comprise 319 participants aged between 18 and 30 years from 11 countries as follows: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan. In addition, there will be 11 National Leaders and 25 Administrative Staff members including the Head Administrator.

Our Mission

Our mission is to further promote and strengthen the bilateral ties between ASIAN countires and JAPAN. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach to the youths around the globe.
